Charter of H-Anim WG (2012-2-1) (in preparation)
1. Overview
The H-Anim WG is intended to standardize human character and animation data for exchanging human characters in heterogeneous computing environments. The working group will first revise the international standard, ISO/IEC 19774: 2006 Humanoid Animation, to define standards for the exchange of human character motion by defining a motion interface and a human modeling structure.
2. Goals
- Obtain sharable human character models and animations in heterogeneous computing environments
- Provide methods for generating sharable human characters and animations
- Research and develop standard technologies concerning human character modeling and animation
3. Teleconference schedule
- The first Wednesday of every month at 5:30pm, PST (Thursday at 10:30am, KST), after the Korea Chapter Meeting
4. Scope of new proposal items for submission to the ISO
- Definition of a humanoid character model capable of generating motion from captured motion data
- Definition of a humanoid character model capable of generating motion using a general motion definition such as keyframe, interpolation, kinematics, and dynamics for human figures
- Definition of motion parameters for transferring or exchanging motion between different human character models
- Definition of a motion data interface for including motion data
- Definition of behavior modeling data
- Definition of motion viewer functionality
