The Korea Chapter of the Web3D Consortium is holding its annual meeting in Seoul Korea on 26-29 January 2015 at the Seoul Palace Hotel. This meeting helps standardize Web3D information technology and digital media for communication-oriented services in Korea. It is open to all members of the Chapter and Consortium.

ISO/IEC SC24 WG9 editing meetings for the Mixed and Augmented Reality (MAR) Abstract Reference Model will be held at the same place and time.  The meetings are supported by Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) and organized by Korean Standards Association (KSA). The meetings are intended to progress ISO standardization for the new proposals submitted to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 24.  In addition, new proposals related to Web3D that will ultimately be discussed at upcoming ISO SC24 meetings will be introduced here.

These meetings have always been very interesting and productive.  Most meeting topics are related to the progress of working drafts for ISO standardization.

• Extensible 3D (X3D) Graphics Specifications for Humanoid Animation (H-Anim) architecture, H-Anim motion capture, H-Anim face, H-Anim hands and feet, Mixed Augmented Reality (MAR), and Computer Aided Design (CAD) will be demonstrated and discussed.
• A new proposal about tactile map will be presented at a Web3D session.
• In addition, specifications about the MAR reference model, MAR physical sensors, and MAR real character representation will be discussed.
• Lastly, a new proposal about finger tracking will be presented at a WG9 session.
