Since its establishment on September 27, 1951 as Cheongju Junior Agriculture College, Chungbuk National University comes to celebrate its 64th opening anniversary this year. The founding of Chungbuk National University resulted from the hope of the whole residents, providing higher education demanded by the community, even though through the Korean civil war. Chungbuk Provincial College, raised to the status of Chungbuk National University, has continued to grow rapidly and has become an outstanding and leading university in Korea that plays a key role in the field of education and research. In the 1970s, Chungbuk National University, as a national university representing our region, had already prepared a springboard that could take a leap into the future.

Chungbuk National University is a national university including 13 Colleges and 8 Graduate Schools.
